Bard College is seeking an Animal Care Lab Technician to assist Bard laboratory staff and faculty in the daily activities and duties related to animal care.

Responsibilities will include:

• Food preparation
• Feeding of animals
• Cleaning habitats
• Water chemistry testing
• Record keeping
• Quarantine policy and procedures
• Breeding
• Maintenance and repairs of habitats

Time Commitments:

• Expect to work 15-20 hours per week to include the following:
• One to three feedings per day
• Completing daily checklists
• Weekend feedings
• Availability during any Bard recess and holidays

Qualifications
The successful candidate will be organized, reliable and able to work independently and follow through on tasks.
