Bard College is seeking an Animal Care Lab Technician to assist Bard laboratory staff and faculty in the daily activities and duties related to animal care.
Responsibilities will include:
- Food preparation
- Feeding of animals
- Cleaning habitats
- Water chemistry testing
- Record keeping
- Quarantine policy and procedures
- Breeding
- Maintenance and repairs of habitats
- Expect to work 15-20 hours per week to include the following:
- One to three feedings per day
- Completing daily checklists
- Weekend feedings
- Availability during any Bard recess and holidays
The successful candidate will be organized, reliable and able to work independently and follow through on tasks.
