Job Summary

The Department of Computer Science in the College of Engineering and Applied Science at the University of Colorado Boulder invites applications for a full-time Teaching Assistant/Associate Professor or Scholar in Residence. This position will support teaching in the Technology, Cybersecurity and Policy (TCP) graduate program within the Department of Computer Science. The goal of the appointment is to enhance the department of Computer Science’s educational mission by teaching cybersecurity-focused courses at CU Boulder.

This is a non-tenure track appointment; the successful candidate will likely be appointed as a Teaching Assistant Professor (Instructor) on the Computer Science faculty in the TCP program, although appointment as a Teaching Associate Professor (Senior Instructor) is possible depending on experience and qualifications. Candidates who wish to include a research element in their duties (up to 20% of overall activities) can be appointed as a Scholar in Residence. The position will report to the Chair of the Department of Computer Science.

What Your Key Responsibilities Will Be

Candidates for this position must demonstrate a strong commitment to high-quality graduate education. The Program is particularly interested in candidates with a background in cybersecurity topic areas. In their cover letter, candidates should highlight their experiences in these areas. Successful candidates will be responsible for teaching 4-5 courses a year, mentoring graduate students, supporting student events and organizations, and providing oversight to the graduate curriculum. Typical courses would include Introduction to Cybersecurity, Security Auditing and Penetration Testing, and Digital Forensics.

What We Can Offer

The annual salary range for this position is $90,000 to $135,000 based on experience and position responsibilities.
