Job Description Summary:

Responsible for managing various candidate stages in the Colleges’ recruiting and hiring processes and serves as a main contact point for hiring managers with open positions and applicants seeking employment with the College.

Job Description:

Description of Duties and Tasks
  • Manages multiple job requisitions, post jobs and assists candidates navigating through interview, reference check, background check, and offer and onboarding stages.
  • Responsible for administrative tasks to support office operations.
  • Responsible for the upkeep of employee records to include staff and faculty credentials.
  • Welcomes new employees to the organization by conducting orientation.
  • Assists applicants and managers by providing procedural information and responding to inquiries.
  • Prepares job postings and external advertising.
  • Maintains employee confidence and protects operations by keeping human resource information confidential.
  • Maintains quality service by following College standards.
  • Prepares and sends notification letters to applicants and hiring managers.
  • Gathers information, prepares reports and reviews data for accuracy.
  • Assists with facilitating New Employee Orientations.
  • Conducts project research and assists with staff training and implementation of programs and processes.
  • Maintains quality service by following organizational standards.
  • Maintains technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing publications.
  • May plan, coordinate, and oversee departmental programs and events.
Knowledge
  • General Human Resource principles, procedures, and practices.
  • Customer service principles and practices.
  • Organizing and planning practices.
  • Processing and verification of new employee information, database maintenance
  • Depending on area of assignment, may require knowledge of event planning.

Required Work Experience
  • Two years of related work experience.
Preferred Work Experience
  • One year in Human Resources
  • Workday Experience
  • PHR or SHRM-CP Certification
Required Education
  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Four years of related work experience may substitute for this education requirement. Applicants who substitute work experience to meet the education requirement must use additional related work experience to meet the years of "Required Work Experience" for this position. Please note that the college reserves the right to amend these terms of substitution at any time.
Physical Requirements
  • Work is performed in a standard office or similar environment.
  • Subject to standing, walking, sitting, bending, reaching, pushing, and pulling.
  • Occasional lifting of objects up to 10 pounds.
