The Williams College Dean of Students Office seeks a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join us as an Administrative Coordinator. The ideal candidate should have strong communication skills, be able to work both independently and with a team and in a busy office, be tech-savvy, and collaborative, with a strong attention to detail. The Administrative Coordinator handles sensitive material and interfaces with students, family members, staff, and faculty.

Responsibilities

The Administrative Coordinator coordinates the logistics and support for First Days and Mid-Orientation, First-Generation Initiatives, International Student Services, FamilyDays, and the Junior Advisors program.

This role handles financial administration including purchasing card reconciliations, budget tracking, paying bills and ordering supplies.

This role serves as the primary office receptionist for the Dean’s Office, answering phone calls, assisting walk-in visitors, scheduling appointments, email correspondence with faculty, staff and students.


Qualifications

At least one year relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Graduating seniors are welcome to apply, as are those with office experience.

Experience working in Higher Education or a field with comparable job requirements, balancing of priorities, and working across units preferred.

You are comfortable in an environment where most work is done electronically and you are able to quickly learn new systems and technology; you have experience with Microsoft Office Suite, G Suite, or similar.

You are comfortable and confident to seek answers and solutions across units and across the campus and broader community; you are able to work in an environment with many moving parts and people and you are willing to be patient and flexible with processes and workflow
  • Accounting skills beneficial
  • Excellent organizational and problem solving skills with an ability to prioritize, organize and execute multiple tasks
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, including email correspondence and proofreading
  • Strong interpersonal skills, ability to work with broadly diverse groups of students, faculty, and staff and comfortable with student, faculty, and visitor-facing processes
