JOB SUMMARY
The Teaching, Learning, and Curriculum Department within the School of Education is accepting applications for adjunct instructors with expertise in Special Education and/or Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). Areas of specialization in Special Education include but are not limited to assessment, law and process, literacy, leadership, autism, and social emotional and behavioral wellness. Areas of specialization in ABA include but are not limited to fundamental elements, assessment, intervention, ethics, supervisory and consultative practices, verbal behavior, and research methods. Selected candidates will join a pool of adjunct faculty who will serve on an ad-hoc basis to teach classes online or in-person (day or evening) or hybrid. Adjunct instructors are hired on a term-by-term basis. Applications are accepted on a continuous basis and will be reviewed when openings become available.
The Special Education programs are 100% online and include a Master’s and an Undergraduate degree program, and certificates in autism spectrum disorders, collaborative special education law and process, social emotional and behavior wellness, special education leadership, ABA, and a dyslexia specialist program.
The ABA programs are offered online and in a hybrid format and include a Master’s degree program with concentrations in autism spectrum disorders, social and emotional behavioral wellness, and advanced topics in ABA and a certificate program.
The School of Education develops leaders with the expertise to collaborate and solve complex problems related to transforming institutions and educating diverse populations impacted by domestic and global challenges. The School of Education has 13,000 students, 48 faculty, two departments, and 14 core areas that offer a suite of certificate, certification, and degree programs.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
The successful candidate will be expected to teach online or face-to-face graduate or undergraduate level courses, advise students, and work collegially with other faculty, staff, and site supervisors.

- An earned Master’s or Doctoral degree in Education or Applied Behavior Analysis or a related field.
- A record of excellence in teaching, research, clinical practice, and professional participation.
- Expertise in one or more of the following areas listed above.
- Commitment to serving a culturally and ethnically diverse student body.
- Candidates applying to teach ABA courses must hold a BCBA or BCBA-D credential.
