Opening Position for A Tenure-Track Faculty in Cello and Piano

General Information:

The Music Department at National Sun Yat-sen University accepts applications with minimum of two years of college teaching experience for a full-time, tenure-track faculty positions in Cello and Piano.

Qualifications (at least one of the following):

• Doctorate degree in music
• Assistant professor or higher ranking in music
• International Music Competition Awards

Professional Experience (at least one of the following):

• DMA/PhD dissertation or the dissertation published after the present ranking
• Portfolio of at least five public performances, including copies of programs, public performance certificates, video files of live performance and a scholarly writing about the performance interpretation based on the repertoire from one of the above concerts

Teaching Duties:

• Applied courses in cello or piano（for cello or piano performance major students）

Note: The position also requires supervision of graduate thesis, as well as service on department, college, and university committees as assigned. Proficiency in Chinese is required.

• An official copy of highest degree certificate
• An official transcript for the highest degree
• An official copy of teaching certificate issued by the Ministry of Education (R.O.C.) (optional)
• At least one hard copy of the written materiel , which could be a dissertation, an article, or some other form of scholarly writing about music
• A list of performances/scholarly works with corresponding recordings, video, or other materials
• Three confidential letters of recommendation
