Job Description

The June Program is a 3-week summer program that serves students in grades K-6 at the Campus School of Smith College. The program runs from June 6 – 24, Monday – Friday, from 8:00 a.m. – 5:15 p.m. This fun and exciting experience offers students the opportunity to participate in various activities on the Smith College Campus. Students in grades K-2 will utilize the Campus School facilities for activities including arts and crafts, outdoor games, circus arts, water games, drama, sports, story-telling and more! Students in grades 3-6 will use Smith College athletic facilities and other buildings to participate in activities including: arts, sports (golf, tennis, basketball, soccer, frisbee), science, kung fu, nature exploration and more!

Job Description

Lead and instruct students in a specialty area; plan and implement age and developmentally appropriate programming for students; manage equipment, maintain spaces, guide support staff and support students as they learn within a specialized area. Uphold and support program protocol, policies and procedures. Report to the program coordinator. Experience teaching and coaching students in grades 2-6 preferred. Specialty areas include general science, theater/drama, adventure based education, sports including tennis, basketball, soccer, swimming, track and field, maker space/STEM, ultimate frisbee, circus arts and yoga.



Hourly Rate Range: $20 - $35 per hour depending on experience

Start Date: June 4 (training)

End Date: June 24

Hours per week: 30 - 35 (part-time work is available for some positions)
