Adjunct- Center for Environmental Studies

Position Description:

The Center for Environmental Studies (CES) in VCU Life Sciences is inviting applicants to apply for an adjunct teaching position to support core curriculum including classes in geographic information systems and cartography, which are offered on a recurring basis. The Center for Environmental Studies has 16 faculty and over 300 students in baccalaureate and masters-level academic programs as well as several certificate programs.

Minimum Qualifications:

The successful applicant for this position must be familiar and able to teach using ArcGIS and ArcGIS Online. Additional preferences will be given to applicants who are also proficient in R. Applicants must have at least a Masters-level degree in Biology, Ecology, Environmental Studies, or another related field, as well as strong oral presentation and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

Applications from individuals with experience in teaching and/or conducting research at the University level will be preferred.
