Job/Department Summary:

The Equal Opportunity & Dispute Resolution (EODR) unit is looking for a compassionate, motivated, and savvy partner to join their team and help the unit comply with, promote, and further civil rights and other laws protecting students and employees on campus.

Under direct supervision, the EODR and Labor Relations Compliance Coordinator (“the position”) provides a full range of confidential administrative and analytical support to the Asst. VP of EODR and the EODR Compliance Analyst (EODR CA). Day-to-day work is performed independently under the general direction of the EODR CA. The position works as confidential staff support, in accordance with HEERA, and the position requires considerable judgment and discretion in handling complex and confidential issues related to students, faculty, and staff along with a variety of sensitive interactions within and beyond the university. Duties include administrative support for all EODR and Labor Relations functions (including acting as backup in the absence of the EODR CA), information gathering, research and analysis for reporting and tracking, workflow and process coordination, meeting and event coordination, travel coordination and assistance, researches and analyzes issues related to EEO/Title IX/DHR investigations, union grievances and meet and confer obligations, support for responses to disciplinary actions, unfair labor practice charges, complaints filed with outside agencies, lawsuits, and actions in front of the state personnel board, provides support for unemployment insurance benefit claim responses, supports the development of the Affirmative Action Plan.

Mandatory Vaccinations:

The CSU requires faculty, staff, and students who are accessing campus facilities to be immunized against COVID-19 or have received a medical or religious exemption. Selected candidates should be prepared to comply with this requirement.

Preferences:

Preference may be given to applicants with the following as they may be considered specialized skills:
  • Fluent written and verbal multi-lingual/bilingual skills.
  • Experience with Title IX, Title VII, Clery, VAWA and other relevant laws.
  • Experience working in a legal setting.
  • Demonstrated experience working and supporting individuals from diverse backgrounds.
Required Education and Experience:

This position requires a fully functional knowledge of and skill in standard office procedures and practices, as well as an ability to understand and operate in a variety of organizational structures. The qualifications listed above would normally be obtained through completion of a high school program or its equivalent and a year or more of general office experience.

Time Base: Full-time- 1.0

Pay Plan: 12/12

Work Schedule: Mon-Fri 8:00am-5:00pm, Summer - Mon-Thurs 7:00am-5:30pm.

Salary and Benefits Information:

$3,120 - $4,680 per month / $37,440 - $56,160 annually (New employees should anticipate being hired at the beginning of the salary range)
