Financial Specialist

Buena Vista University has an opening for a Financial Specialist located on the Storm Lake campus. This position is a critical link in communicating with new and current students concerning all aspects of the financial components for enrolling at BVU and serves as a liaison with the Office of Financial Assistance and Business Office. This person will inform students of all financial aid options available for their education, guide the student regarding the necessary financial documents, and ensures the student is aware of payment plan options and deadlines. They serve as the primary point of contact and resource to students in the processing of third-party benefits. In addition, follow-up on accounts receivables and past due accounts through extensive outreach is an important component of this position.

Experience with spreadsheets and database management, excellent student service, close attention to detail, the ability to handle multiple tasks, and superior organizational and communication skills is desired. A Bachelor’s Degree is required.
