We are seeking a Senior Research Program Coordinator who will be a team member of the Johns Hopkins University's Parkinson’s Disease and Movement Disorder Center.

Specific Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Will work with the movement disorders team and will have responsibilities in four main areas including:
    • Implementation of research protocols by organizing the data collection instruments, conducting the data collection for study visits, and collating and storing the data after the visit
    • Assistance with participant recruitment for research projects and CRMS management
    • Regulatory binder creation and management
    • Liaising with the JHU IRB, including management of IRB submissions (New Submissions, Changes in Research, Progress and Termination reports, and Audits).
  • Program coordination of research activities to include planning, implementation, data collection and evaluation
  • Create program evaluations and tabulate the results
  • Help analyze the results
  • Create materials for brochures/flyers and presentations based on the study participant audience
  • Collect, Collate, and organize the data and records
  • Implement research programs per the protocol following IRB guidelines
  • Provide the total numbers of current registrants for the IRB submissions
  • Monitor recruitment and enrollment activities
  • Assist in the preparation of grant proposals
  • Ability to work as integral member of an interdisciplinary team in order to provide patient centered and community centered care to the Parkinson’s disease and other movement disorders population

Minimum Qualifications (Mandatory):

  • Bachelor's Degree in Health Sciences or related field
  • Three (3) years related experience
  • Additional education may substitute for required experience, to the extent permitted by the JHU equivalency formula.*

* JHU Equivalency Formula: 18 graduate degree credits may substitute for one year of experience.  For jobs where equivalency is permitted, up to two years of non-related college course work may be applied towards the total minimum education/experience required for the respective job.

* Applicants who do not meet the posted requirements but are completing their final academic semester/quarter will be considered eligible for employment and may be asked to provide additional information confirming their academic completion date.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s Degree in Public Health (or related field) with experience in community outreach and education

Special Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Must have a valid driver’s license and transportation in order to fulfill outreach responsibilities
  • Individual must process high degree of professionalism, confidentiality
  • Must be able to identify needs and resolve issues

Starting Salary Range: $39,310 - $54,060 annually (commensurate with experience)

Blood tests for immunities to these diseases are ordinarily included in the pre-employment physical exam except for those employees who provide results of blood tests or immunization documentation from their own health care providers. Any vaccinations required for these diseases will be given at no cost in our Occupational Health office.
