Job Details
The Juvenile Justice Research and Reform (JJR&R) Lab in the Department of Psychological and Brain Sciences at Drexel University is hiring a full-time Data Manager. This is anticipated to be a 2-5-year position, pending annual grant funding renewals.
Essential Functions
- Serve as Data Manager of a foundation grant to evaluate the implementation and impact of a city-wide initiative to expunge the criminal records of young people and adults
- Work closely with community partners (e.g., court-related agencies, legal and community-based organizations) to implement and enhance programming and facilitate data transfer
- Manage project databases to structure, clean, and prepare data for analyses, conduct basic analyses, and collaborate with lab statistician for high-level analyses
- Collaborate with community partners to disseminate findings and generate policy and practice recommendations
- Author/co-author publications and contribute to grant applications and project deliverables
- Supervise research assistants who work on this project
- Master’s Degree in Criminology, Public health, Psychology, Public Policy, Statistics, or a related discipline.
- 2 – 3 years of relevant work experience
- Doctoral in criminology, public health, psychology, public policy, statistics, or a related discipline
- Strong quantitative skills for data management and basic statistical analyses
- Organizational skills to successfully manage data-related components of this project
- Excellent interpersonal skills to successfully collaborate with funders, justice stakeholders, and lab colleagues
