Position Purpose

To support donor-focused recognition and stewardship by accessing and managing data in Dartmouth’s information and reporting systems of record.


Required Qualifications - Education and Yrs Exp

Bachelors or equivalent combination of education and experience

Required Qualifications - Skills, Knowledge and Abilities

* Bachelors degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
* Five to seven years of office experience in related field, preferably including bookkeeping, accounting, and data entry in an academic setting.
* Customer-focused experience with high-level clients and senior members of an organization; ability to exercise sound judgment while interacting with internal and external constituents.
* Demonstrated proficiency with Excel spreadsheet and database management software, including Ablebits, pivot tables and macros.
* Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite required, including variable data merges in Microsoft Word and Outlook.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills, including strong proofreading and attention to detail skills.
* Strong organizational skills; self-motivated with a high level of initiative.
* Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.
* Proven effectiveness as a team player and collaborator.

Key Accountabilities


Serves as the central information manager for electronic and paper records, records management; manages and maintains data by updating a variety of highly confidential records and complex filing systems. Ensures scholar data is accurately recorded and maintained in Advance, managing scholar communications and data gathering using Fundriver, Anthology, Outlook and DSMART (scholar matching software); responds to requests for information from internal and external R&S constituents.

Assists in the stewardship and engagement of top alumni, parents, and friends of the College; partners with the Associate Director of Stewardship Reporting to support the creation of scholarship stewardship materials for a growing portfolio of scholarship funds and associated stewardees; researches and prepares supporting materials for donor stewardship and special projects.

Collaborates with departmental staff on a variety of projects, that may include publications, mailings, and printing projects.
