Interview Process

The interview process for this position will consist of three phases. Applicants who complete the application process and meet the position minimum requirements will be invited to interview in phase 1. Candidates will be notified of their status after each phase to confirm if they are moving forward in the selection process.
  • Phase 1: 30-minute interview with the search committee
  • Phase 2: 30-minute interview with the search committee (different questions will be asked), 30-minute written exercise; 30-minute presentation with the Office of College Advancement team
  • Phase 3: 30-minute interview with the vice president of college advancement (this phase will occur if you do not engage with the vice president of college advancement in phase 1 or 2; if you do engage with the vice president of college advancement in phase 1 or 2, phase 3 will not be necessary)
This position will be open until filled.

Job Summary: This position is responsible for identifying, cultivating, soliciting and stewarding gifts of $10,000 and above from individual and organizational donors to support the HACC Foundation, HACC and its students.

Please note that this position requires individuals to work remotely, on any of HACC’s five campuses and in the communities we serve. Please note that this requirement is subject to change.

(b) Please describe your ability and experience with providing exceptional customer service through written and verbal communications.
(c) Please describe your ability and experience in leading meetings, serving on committees and contributing to strategic goals. The questions must be bolded, and the responses must be provided below each question.)

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree and three years of related experience. Or, a combination of experience and education sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job.

Licensing Requirements:

Hiring Range: $49,508-$63,123

  • Meets and/or exceeds metrics for monthly qualification attempts, meetings and dollars raised, including developing and making major gift proposals, solicitations and/or asks annually. - (Essential)
  • Prepares major gifts for solicitation. - (Essential)
  • Develops, coordinates and implements fundraising strategies (including individual and organizational prospect strategies) to ensure that fundraising requirements are met; works in collaboration with the director and vice president of college advancement. - (Essential)
  • Provides philanthropy updates by submitting timely call reports and other reports. - (Essential)
  • Attends monthly development, department and division meetings. - (Essential)
  • Serves on committees and task forces. - (Essential)
  • Performs other duties as assigned. - (Standard)
