Finger Lakes Community College is affiliated with The State University of New York (SUNY) and is currently recruiting for an Instructor of Mechanical Technology. This is a 10 month, tenure-track position.

General Functions:
Educational Background : A master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field required. Prior teaching experience is required. A background in manufacturing industry, and/or CNC and CAD/CAM knowledge preferred.
Essential Functions:
Provide classroom instruction to students , including hands-on laboratory and machining instruction
- Provide classroom instruction to students , including hands-on laboratory and machining instruction
- Provide academic advisement through student meetings, evaluations and assessment of advisees academic programs
- Participate in student recruitment events.
- Serve as a liason to local industry partners to create co-op and career opportunities for students.
- Maintain transfer articulation agreements with baccalaureate institutions.
- Serve on college committees
- Participate in curriculum development activities
- Maintain office hours and be available to students as needed and as stated in the bargaining agreement
- Participate in professional growth and development activities
- Attend commencement and professional workshop days as defined by the college calendar
- Perform appropriate other duties as requested by the Academic Dean of the College/ Department Chair
