Job Description Summary:

To manage and direct the evaluation, implementation, and development of the college-wide Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) replacement program. To provide leadership and oversight over the vendor selection process and the selected vendor during implementation of the selected ERP system. To provide ongoing maintenance and enhancements to the new ERP system and to ensure the transition and off-boarding of the existing Colleague ERP system.

Job Description:

Description of Duties and Tasks
  • Advises and consults with other departments on production software issues, concerns, problems, and questions.
  • Provides oversight and serves as an interface to executive management for large, campuswide administrative system upgrades.
  • Evaluates programming techniques and training needs, then selects and implements training as required.
  • Recommends selection of, trains or directs training of, supervisors and coordinators, and evaluates performance of professional staff.
Knowledge
  • Current principles and practices of information technology and applications development in an education environment.
  • Computer languages, technologies, and protocols.
  • Strategic planning, budgeting, and operations within an information technology department.
  • Project initiation, prioritization, and information technology allocation processes.
  • Management and implementation of organization-wide administrative software projects.
  • Systems analysis, database design, and program design.
  • Programming techniques and associated training needs identification and implementation.
  • Supervisory principles, practices, and methods.
Skills
  • Make recommendations that impact the budget.
  • Maintaining an established work schedule.
  • Effectively using interpersonal and communications skills, including tact and diplomacy.
  • Effectively using organizational and planning skills with attention to detail and follow-through.
  • Providing technical leadership for administrative systems.
  • Effectively managing applications development projects related to administrative systems, including student systems, human resources and finance, as well as other organization-wide applications.

  • Effectively supervising, leading, and delegating tasks and authority.

Technology Skills
  • Use a variety of spreadsheet, word processing, database, and presentation software.
  • Use query and control languages, programming languages, and database systems.
Required Work Experience
  • Three years related work experience including one year supervisory experience. Education cannot be substituted for supervisory experience.
Required Education
  • Bachelor's degree.
Physical Requirements
  • Work is performed in a standard office or similar environment.
  • Subject to standing, walking, sitting, bending, reaching, pushing, and pulling.
  • Occasional lifting of objects up to 10 pounds.
Safety
  • Supervise safe operation of unit. Facilitate safety inspections. Take reasonable and prudent actions to eliminate identified hazards. Ensure employees receive appropriate safety training and foster a workplace safety culture.
Salary Range $88,751 - $126,787

Full-time faculty and staffing table employees who work in full-time and/or part-time positions at the college are eligible for ACC medical benefits effective the first of the month after their first 60 days of employment. Benefits include medical, dental, life insurance, short- and long-term disability, retirement plans and AD&D.

ACC does not participate in Social Security. ACC participates in the Teacher Retirement System of Texas (TRS) and the Optional Retirement Program (ORP-Faculty and Administrators Only). Part-time and Hourly employees participate in the ACC Money Purchase Plan (ACCMPP) as a retirement program required by federal law.
