This is a full-time benefits-eligible position. Under the general direction of the Maintenance Supervisor, perform general and specialized work in the routine, preventive, and emergency repair, installation, adjustment and servicing of air conditioning, heating ventilation, and refrigeration equipment and supply pumps, motors and controls. Operate, install, repair, and maintain support equipment for the main air distribution systems. Operate, install, repair and maintain commercial and domestic refrigeration systems. Work with computer building operation systems to change building set points and adjust building parameters and schedules. Direct and instruct assigned personnel in the work group. Education & Formal Training High school diploma or equivalent, Education/Experience substitution (specify) Other Education & Formal Training
-Trade school or related military experience may substitute for experience on a 1 year for 1 year basis. Computer Skills Other - Basic computer skills Experience
Four (4) years experience in HVAC /refrigeration in an industrial or commercial setting required. Other Experience Licenses, Certificates, Registrations, & State/Federal Requirements of Position: Criminal History check, Driver's license Other Licenses, Certificates, Registrations, & State/Federal Requirements
-North American Technical Excellence – HVAC Support Technician Certification required.
-Universal Recovery Certificate required. Special Skills, Abilities, and Knowledge: Attention to detail, Communication skills, including oral, written, and/or nonverbal, Human Relations/Interpersonal skills, Physical abilities: mobility/strength/dexterity/balance/coordination/endurance, Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and meet deadlines, Maintain confidentiality Other Special Skills, Abilities, and Knowledge
-Mechanical and electrical skills (mechanical ability to work to close tolerances)
-Troubleshooting skills
-Working knowledge of blueprints, drawings, diagrams, and technical manuals
-Working knowledge of air supply, water supply, and return distribution systems.
-Demonstrated knowledge of refrigeration, steam, pneumatics, and piping systems.
-Ability to work independently
-Ability to lay out projects from a set of plans, estimates, plan order, receive and install per the specifications.
-Willingness to be open to learning and growing.
-Maturity of judgement and behavior.
-Maintains high standards for work areas and appearance.
-Ability to maintain a positive attitude.
