Job Description:

The Department of Teacher Education in the Judith Herb College of Education at The University of Toledo is seeking a lecturer in early childhood teacher education with teaching strengths in early childhood teacher education, culturally responsive pedagogy as well as a commitment to urban education, and a readiness to partner with local schools to provide transformative teacher education. The successful candidate will teach undergraduate and graduate teacher education courses in early childhood pedagogy and assessment. The candidate will also be encouraged to maintain connections with local schools.

Minimum Qualifications:

Master’s degree in education or related field is required. Three or more years of experience in early childhood teaching is required. The successful candidate should demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively. Additionally, the ability to work effectively with traditional and non-traditional students is desired. Candidates with expertise in core academic content and/or online instruction are especially encouraged to apply.

Preferred Qualifications:

It is preferred that applicants have a doctoral degree in early childhood education or a related field. Experience teaching early childhood education courses, including using an online platform, is preferred.
