Job Responsibilities:
The Citadel, The Military College of South Carolina is seeking applicants for a full-time, adjunct faculty member in the Department of Leadership Studies. Full-time adjuncts are expected to teach a 5-5 course load. The mission of the Department of Leadership Studies is to enhance the ability of students to perform effectively as principled leaders.
The Citadel offers general education leadership courses and an interdisciplinary undergraduate minor in leadership studies. The Leadership Studies Department offers a Master of Science in Leadership as well as certificates in leadership and military leadership at the graduate level.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Applicants must have a minimum of a terminal degree in the leadership discipline or in a closely-related field.
- Must demonstrate excellence in teaching credit-bearing, face-to-face classes at a regionally accredited college or university.
- Must be able to teach in-person classes, on campus in Charleston, SC. (This is not a remote opportunity.)
- Understanding and experience with different instructional pedagogies.
- Evidence of academic scholarly work in the leadership studies discipline (e.g., peer-reviewed scholarship, academic conference proceedings, etc.)
