Job Description:
The University of Florida/Shands/UF Health Care affiliated institutions present a rich diversity of inpatient and outpatient clinical material. The successful applicant will contribute to medical student, resident and fellowship training in Clinical Pathology. Scholarly study and investigation in the applicant's area of interest is expected.
The Department of Pathology, Immunology and Laboratory Medicine at the University of Florida College of Medicine invites applications for a faculty position at the Clinical Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor level, non-tenure track, with focus in Clinical Chemistry. Primary responsibilities will involve service, technical oversight of the UF Health Pathology Laboratories Core Laboratory, and teaching in Chemistry and Hematology. Interest in other clinical pathology subspecialties is also welcomed. Allocation of effort is flexible, with clinician-educator and clinician-scientist tracks available.

Minimum Requirements:
Physician applicants must have an M.D. or D.O. degree with board certification in Clinical Pathology or AP/CP and possess or be eligible for a Florida Medical license. Non-physicians must possess a PhD degree and board certification or eligibility in Clinical Chemistry (American Board of Clinical Chemistry or National Registry of Certified Chemists). Relevant fellowship training is is highly desirable. Experience in clinical laboratory management, technical problem solving, automation, laboratory information systems, interpretation of clinical tests (such as electrophoresis, mass spectrometry, chromatography), and clinical consultation is required. The candidate should have an established track record of peer reviewed work and desire for advancing knowledge in the field. Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential.
