The Gender + Equality Center at the University of Oklahoma Norman Campus is a dynamic department committed to creating and sustaining supporting campus environments. The Center is currently seeking a full-time Instructor/Program Specialist committed to building environments where LGBTQ+ students are valued, respected, and provided opportunities to flourish in their pursuits of excellence
Required Qualifications
- Master’s Degree in Education, Higher Education Administration Student Affairs Administration or a closely related field
- Experience working with the curricular approach for higher education experience
- Substantive understanding of LGBTQ+ college student development
Duties
The instructor/Program Specialist teaches a university level leadership course in the Division of Student Affairs, mentors students in order to help them reach their curricular and co-curricular goals. The successful candidate also develops, implements, and assesses a developmental curriculum and events for LGBTQ+ student communities, helps support the strategic direction of the Gender + Equality Center and works with faculty and staff communities, and carries out additional duties assigned.
