Position Summary:

The Manager of Enrollment Management and Tuition Budgets is responsible for the direction, planning, organization, development and implementation of the operating budget for the Enrollment Management division as well as the university-wide tuition and financial aid budget and forecast. Reporting directly to the Director of Budget and Planning with secondary reporting to the Vice President for Strategic Enrollment Management, this position serves in an advisory capacity to provide regular budget development and monitoring, forecasting, financial analysis, and long-range financial planning in the areas described above. Additionally, this position is the key liaison with other administrative units on campus as well as a member of the cross functional Business Officer Leadership Team.

Minimum Qualifications:

● Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business administration, finance or related field
● Five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in accounting, finance, budget preparation and management
● Three (3) years demonstrated experience in financial and strategic planning, analysis and forecasting
● Demonstrated experience of communicating complex financial data and trends to multiple audiences, including executive leadership
● Demonstrated ability to manage multiple deliverables and deadlines
● Demonstrated attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
● Proficiency in excel and other standard office software applications
● Strong oral and written communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

While not everyone may possess all of the preferred qualifications, the ideal candidate will bring many of the following:

● Master’s degree in business (MBA), accounting, finance or related fields
● CPA, CMA or CGMA or similar designation
● Six (6) or more years progressively responsible experience in accounting, budgeting, complex financial analysis and strategic planning
● Experience working in higher education in an accounting, business, finance, or related role
● Experience using data analysis to measure and track financial performance
● Experience building cross-functional relationships and providing a high level of customer service to internal and external partners
● Experience with Banner, Cognos and/or Anaplan
● Successful experience working with people from socially and culturally diverse backgrounds

A federal court on December 7, 2021, issued a ruling that suspends the COVID-19 vaccine requirement that applies to federal contractors nationwide. With this development, the University will pause any enforcement action against employees who have not complied with the requirement to be fully vaccinated by Dec. 8, 2021 or to have requested an exemption to maintain their employment status.
