Summary:

The successful candidate will work collaboratively with faculty in the Department of Biostatistics and faculty in the School of Medicine, specifically the Department of Internal Medicine.

The candidate will provide collaborative and consulting services for researchers. Tasks will include study design and proposal writing, data management and informatics, interim analysis and monitoring, statistical analysis, and dissemination. The analyst’s responsibilities will also include assisting the researchers in making their work replicable, reproducible, and freely available in support of the university’s commitment to research.

Required Education and Experience

Master’s degree in biostatistics or statistics with progressive experience in data analysis. Must be capable of performing critical analyses of the literature relevant to ongoing or planned research projects. Must be able to define technical problems in research projects and databases, then implement new or revised statistical approaches to alleviate the problems. Proven ability to disseminate research findings in both oral and written formats. Must have working experience with statistical software applications, including SAS, R, etc. Collaborative experience in a biomedical research environment. Experience in preparing statistical reports, manuscripts for publication. Excellent communication skills. Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills. Ability to work in a diverse environment.
