Job Description

Music Production Manager/Lecturer in the School of Performing Arts. Administrative/Professional (A/P) faculty position, full-time, 12-month appointment. Salary commensurate with training and experience. Start Date: August 1, 2022.

Teach 1 undergraduate course per semester in music technology (production and recording). Manage all public events produced by the Music program, including student and faculty recitals, student ensemble concerts, guest artist concerts/presentations, etc. Coordinate and oversee audio and video archival recordings, live event streaming, and other event production needs. Oversee front of house activities, including the coordination, training, and management of student workers. Collaborate with the music scheduling committee and serve as liaison with event venues utilized by the Music Department. Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in music/music technology or equivalent professional experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s degree in music or music technology
• Experience in audio and video production
• Experience teaching in higher education
• Experience with concert live streaming or video production
• Basic knowledge of the set-up, operation, and security practices for web servers and streaming servers
