Non-Credit Instructor-Community Health Worker

• The Workforce Development and Lifelong Learning department at Middlesex College invites applications for part-time, non-credit instructors to teach all the following subjects as part of the complete Community Health Worker Course during the 2023-2024 Academic Year:
  

• Communication Skills
• Case Management and Cultural Competency
• Organizational Skills
• Resource & Service Coordination Skills
• Role and Advocacy Skills
• Service Coordination Skills
• Legal and Ethic Consideration along with Teaching Skills
• Capacity Building and Specific Health Issues such as:
  1. Diabetes
  2. Asthma
  3. Cardiovascular Disease
  4. Cancer
  5. Mental Health and Wellness

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Two years of experience as a Community Health Worker
• One year of experience teaching Community Health Worker courses

• Experience teaching adult students in the specific field
• Subject matter expertise

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Experience teaching in a remote environment

• Bilingual (English/Spanish)
