Minimum Education/Training/Experience
Master’s Degree in mathematics, statistics, social science, computer/information systems, or business administration, or a related field, and five (5) years of professional research and data analysis management experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job. Preferred Education/Training/Experience
Doctorate in relevant field and previous leadership experience in institutional research, effectiveness and/or strategic planning. Minimum Knowledge & Skills
· Working knowledge of the theories, principles, and practices associated with institutional planning, evaluation, and research.
· Knowledge of administration of higher education institution and accreditation requirement and guidelines.
· Customer service principle.
· Knowledge of basic statistical theories and principles.
· Demonstrated knowledge and leadership experience in student success strategies and institutional effectiveness strategies.
· Ability to work in a team environment.
· Strong communication skills, particularly listening skills.
· Communication, interpersonal skills as applied to interaction with coworkers, supervisor, the general public, etc. sufficient to exchange or convey information and to receive work direction.
· Skill to make timely decisions and to manage time, projects and resources in order to achieve goals and to meet deadlines.
· Knowledge of: local, regional, and national assessment issues.
· Knowledge of assessment and evaluation concepts, methods and models; principles and theories of strategic and operational planning; current and innovative practices in assessment, planning, research and institutional effectiveness.

N/A Job Duties
1. Directs the planning, research, implementation, administration and evaluation of college-wide institutional effectiveness, assessment and planning programs with special focus on student outcomes assessment according to SACSCOC criteria and COM goals;

2. Working collaboratively with faculty and staff, develops and administers systematic, broad based and interrelated research, planning and evaluation processes;

3. Working collaboratively with faculty and staff designs, develops and implements strategies to assess and improve institutional effectiveness;

4. Working collaboratively with faculty designs, coordinates and implements college-wide outcomes assessment programs; Analyzes findings from assessment data and makes recommendations to college administration to enhance program outcomes and/or departmental services.

5. Designs and implements college planning processes linked to budgeting;

6. Provides direction, leadership and advice to instructional administrators, faculty and others involved in the design, development, evaluation and funding of instructional programs and services; makes recommendation for curriculum and pedagogical change and continuous improvement of instruction; participates in the development and implementation of instructional budget; analyzes and disseminates results of institutional effectiveness research to internal and external constituencies;

7. Provides college‐wide research and planning support for accreditation efforts with the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges, to include writings report for the required institutional effectiveness standards.

8. Serves on appropriate committees;

9. Supervises assigned staff;

10. Performs related duties as assigned.

11. Analyzes findings from assessment data and makes recommendations to college administration to enhance program outcomes and/or departmental services.

Physical Requirements
· No or very limited physical effort required.

· No or very limited exposure to physical risk.

· Work is normally performed in a typical interior/office work environment.
