Overview of position:
- Assist in designing activities that will enhance the academic skills of participants
- Provide individual or small group tutoring to participants
- Maintain regularly scheduled appointments with participants and provide outreach to those at risk
- Incorporate study skills development into tutorial sessions
- Keep accurate records of student contacts and provide monthly progress reports on participants to the Academic Coordinator
- Perform other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
- Sophomore or Junior with a minimum GPA of 3.0
- Minimum of B average in relevant courses
- 2 recommendations from previous or current instructors
- Excellent interpersonal skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Sophomore or Junior with previous or current participation in a TRIO program
- Tutoring experience – individual or small groups
