Department of Cancer Biology at the University of Toledo College of Medicine and Life Sciences is recruiting a tenure-track faculty at the rank of Associate/Full Professor as part of a major expansion of basic science and translational research. We are seeking outstanding scientists working at the cellular and/or molecular level on topics relevant to cancer and cell biology to expand and complement the current strengths of the department. Candidate requirements include PhD and/or MD degree, and an outstanding track record of independent research accomplishments and continuous funding from NIH or other national agencies. New faculty will join a highly interactive, multidisciplinary research community, and will be provided with newly renovated laboratory space along with generous start-up funds and competitive compensation packages.

The University of Toledo College of Medicine and Life Sciences is experiencing a phase of growth and expansion with its precision cancer research and treatment initiatives under the recently established affiliation with Promedica Health Systems, one of the largest health systems in the nation with 14 hospitals throughout northwest Ohio and southeast Michigan. This academic affiliation includes a $2.5 billion investment in the partnership, offering opportunities for translational and clinical cancer research and collaborations between basic scientists and physicians at a number of clinical centers, including the Eleanor N. Dana Cancer Center at the University of Toledo and 553 clinics/hospitals of Promedica Health Systems.
