Summary/Objective

The Utilities Analysis, Education & Outreach Projects Leader is responsible for the Energy and Engineering department’s Utilities bills analysis, tracking, reporting, outreach and engagement projects management efforts. The incumbent will support the department with its efforts to identify campus wide energy savings and engagement opportunities, monitor and publicize related accomplishments, and coordinate outreach programming. This position will aggressively review and report on utilities usage and costs across all accounts (individually and collectively) and promote FM staff and campus at large engagement in utilities conservation initiatives, objectives and priorities in support of the department’s mission.

Work Environment
  • The Utilities Analysis, Education & Outreach Projects Leader reports to the Director of Energy and Engineering.
  • This position is part of the Energy and Engineering team consisting of an Energy Conservation and Efficiency Manager, a Construction Standards and Acceptance Manager, a Building Automation Supervisor, a Manager Electrical and Fire Safety Systems.

Required Education and Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, facilities management, engineering, or other relevant field or equivalent in education, training, or experience
  • A minimum of 4 years’ experience in institutional utilities and/or facilities management, existing building commissioning, energy management, energy services contracting or related fields with some formal training and/or experience in marketing, sales, education and/or motivational methods and communications
  • Experience reviewing and reporting utilities data and benchmarking performance using Energy Star Portfolio Manager to include portfolio development and upkeep
Preferred Education and Experience
  • LEED O&M certification and project experience is desired.
