The Senior Unified Communication Analyst is responsible for leading
and advancing the university unified communications systems on a
strategic project and capacity planning basis. This position
ensures that present and future voice and video communication needs
of the university are implemented and maintained in a proactive and
forward-thinking manner. This role is also responsible for
identifying and executing strategic enhancements to the unified
communications environment that will enhance productivity, reduce
operational costs, and enhance the educational and healthcare
delivery mission of the University. Additionally, the individual in
this role is responsible for drafting standards, proposing
policies, implementing industry best practices, interacting with
industry counterparts, UT customers, and vendors to implement
technical unified communications solutions that support the
business objectives of the organization.
o Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant area of study (i.e., Computer
Science, Electronics, Information Systems, etc.) is required. Other
areas of study will be considered with relevant experience.
o Three years of demonstrated experience in the administration,
management, and design of various communications systems or
equivalents components including Cisco Unified Communications
Manager, Cisco Unified Contact Center Express, Cisco Unity
Connection, Microsoft Office 365, call rating software, West E911,
Eleveo Zoom telephone call recording, Singlewire InformaCast mass
notification, Webex conferencing systems, RightFax faxing, and
Ribbon Session Border Controllers.
o Three years of experience in the deployment and management of
Cisco video collaboration solutions.
o Ability to troubleshoot dial-plan anomalies and conduct technical
call traces for the purpose of diagnosing issues in an IP telephony
o Understanding of the TCP/IP and SIP protocols including use of
o Three years of implementation experience with automatic call
distribution and auto attendant workflows in an enterprise call
o Detailed documentation skills including ACD/Auto-Attendant
workflow diagrams utilizing tools such as MS Visio.
o Rate routine forecasting and reporting experience in an
enterprise communications systems environment.
o Ability to construct and maintain projects using MS Project
online tools is required.
o Experience creating and maintaining stakeholder
o Valid driver’s license is required.
