Job Summary

The Prelicensure (ACE/Co-op) Program Coordinator I is responsible for the central coordination of programmatic functions, materials, and activities in support of the designated programs. The Program Coordinator I support the Chair of the designated BSN program and the undergraduate faculty to facilitate accreditation and State Board of Nursing compliance regulations. It is distinguished from other administrative support classes in that the position provides highly sensitive support to the BSN Chair.

Essential Functions
  • Supports department chair of NACE BSN programs in all administrative and programmatic activities.
  • Serves as point of communication between department chair and students.
  • Acts as a liaison with the other university departments/offices (Bursar, Registrar, Financial Aid and Enrollment Management) regarding programmatic and individual student issues.
  • Coordinates and distributes student correspondence including failure/dismissal/re-admission/recommendation letters.
  • In conjunction with Co-op Program Coordinator coordinates meetings and communication for the Pre-Licensure Undergraduate Nursing programs and takes minutes accordingly.
  • Coordinates orientation and award ceremonies including but not limited to Nursing Pinning Ceremonies, Sigma Theta Tau Induction, and Student Nurses Association Banquets
  • Independently coordinates Examinations, Standardized Tests, Proctors and Room Assignments and Student grades for midterm and final examination periods each quarter in conjunction with the Nursing Operations Department.
  • Creates and Maintains database documents for students' course grades, test bank, etc.
  • Maintain compliance materials and databases
  • Manages classroom scheduling for events outside the master schedule
  • Orders, administers and proctors required standardized examinations from the appropriate publisher
  • Accomplishes department and organization mission by compiling related results as needed.
  • Maintain/store up to date, accurate programmatic materials (syllabi, curriculum documents, policies, procedures, etc.).
  • Support preparation of State Board of Nursing Annual Reports, quarterly SBON quarterly reports
  • Manages licensure process for students
  • Provides clerical support for student meetings, faculty meetings and committees as directed by department chair.
  • Serves as a central point of contact and coordination of department business within the College of Nursing and Health Professions (CNHP), Drexel University and the community.
  • Supports faculty actions through assistance in researching, developing, writing, and updating administrative policies, procedures, methods, and guidelines, communicating developments to management.
  • Assists with maintaining and updating the BSN handbook.
  • Coordinates ordering textbooks for faculty each quarter.
  • Performs other duties assigned by the department chair.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree, Business Administration, Higher Education, or related field
  • A minimum of 1-year professional experience
Other requirements

Technical Requirements: Technical knowledge of frequently used University programs such as Hyperion, NOLIJ, Banner, and the Microsoft office suite required.
