Position Title

Coordinator of International Student Engagement

As a member of the UMSL Global team, at the University of Missouri-St. Louis, theCoordinator ofInternational Student Engagementis primarily responsible for managing our international campus and community programs and events.¿¿These programs and events can be of regular, one-time, or seasonal nature and they will be offered in-person and online at flexible hours.

This position reports to the International Student and Scholar Services (ISSS) Manager, which is one of the five subunits at UMSL Global. As part of the ISSS team theCoordinator of International Student Engagementwill have plenty of opportunity to work closely with the entire UMSL Global team and to build and/or grow their global career. UMSL Global is part of the St. Louis MOSAIC project that is dedicated to growing and supporting our local international community. TheCoordinator of International Student Engagementwill be part of UMSL’s efforts in this space.

Main Responsibilities

• Develop social, cultural, and practical programs and events for our
international student and scholars.
• Coordinate and implement Fall and Spring Global Triton Welcome (new international student orientation) programs.
• Coordinate and implement international student airport pick-up process.
• Coordinate with the Residence Life office to manage international living-learning communities
• Serve as the UMSL Global liaison with campus stakeholders including New Student Programs, Campus Recreation, UMSL Cares, Health and Wellness, Office of Student Involvement, Residence Life, and Recreation and Wellness.
• Coordinate ISSS outreach and communication efforts.
• Coordinate our ISSS evaluation and assessment efforts.
• Help develop and lead our international student and scholar advisory boards as well as advise international student clubs and organizations.
• Support international students in navigation of campus and community processes and procedures
• Support SEVIS reporting during busy seasons by serving as a Designated School Official
• Duties as assigned related to both the functions of the ISSS team as well as the broader UMSL Global mission.

Minimum Qualifications
A Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and at least 1 year of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary.

Must be US citizen or permanent resident. Excellent English written and spoken language skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with international students in a college or university setting
• Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Powerpoint) and ability to quickly learn and use CRM systems.
• Experience in program coordination and project/event management software
• Excellent oral and written presentation skills
• Experience studying, living and/or working abroad

Time : 40hrs/week with some evening/weekend requirements

Salary Range : $40-45K
