Job Summary:

Works as part of a patient care team to support efficient clinic flow and to ensure the needs of students are met. Supports the work of providers and nurses in the clinic. Will work in the Community Health, Allergy and Travel clinic.
Principal Duties:
-Administers and reads TB skin tests.
-Administers vaccinations.
-Documents care in the electronic health record (EHR).
-May perform routine vital signs.
-Prepares and cleans exam rooms.
-Inventories and orders equipment and supplies.
-May assist with campus outreach events.
-Chaperone sensitive exams

Education:

Preferred
H.S. Diploma

Qualifications:

Minimum of one year of experience as an MA.
Excellent communication skills- verbal and written
Ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks

One year of experience in a medical clinic preferred

Experience administering immunizations and administering TST skin tests preferred.

One year of experience as a medical assistant in an ambulatory clinic preferred

License/Certification:

Preferred
CMA - Certified Or Registered Medical Assistant

Preferred
BCLS - Basic Life Support
