Job Summary:

Join the professional biotechnology educational programs within the School of Medicine and Public Health at UW-Madison that features the flagship 20-year in-person Master of Science in Biotechnology program along with more recent additions of the M.S. in Applied Biotechnology and graduate capstone certificate in Applied Bioinformatics. Our non-traditional curriculum brings a wide mix of academic and industry experts together as we recruit and graduate the next leaders in the field of biotechnology. This position supports the program's multifaceted operational needs including navigating accreditation standards and documentation, assisting in curriculum management, assuring supply orders by working with multiple university departments in the School of Medicine and Public Health and the Graduate School. This person will be working with a wide variety of people from prospective applicants, students, alumni, instructors, and academic and industry experts. The position will be a blend of remote and office work, and the program office is located at the MG&E Innovation Center in University Research Park, so the parking is free.

Required:
- Experience with Microsoft suite

Preferred:
- At least 2 years of professional administrative experience
- Experience working with databases

This position requires some work to be performed in-person, onsite, at a designated campus work location. Some work may be performed remotely, at an offsite, non-campus work location.

Work Schedule:

The work schedule will be set upon hire with flexible start and end times. The core hours of operation are between 8:30 and 4:00, but start and end times can be flexible. The incumbent may also need to flex time periodically to attend program events that occur outside of normal business hours. This may include attending events sponsored by the program for students, alumni and prospective applicants.
