POSITION DESCRIPTION

Adjunct Instructor – Multimedia and Digital Media Production

This position is a part-time non-tenure-track appointment as adjunct instructor in the Department of Communication and Media in the College of Arts and Sciences at the University of Missouri-St. Louis. The purpose of this position is to teach undergraduate courses in digital media production with an emphasis on producing digital content for the web and mobile distribution. Courses will cover pre-production, shooting high quality video with both professional equipment and on smartphones, editing, and overall project management. This position will teach one to two classes in a semester as specified in the contract letter. This position requires a commitment to working with diverse student and community populations.

This position requires the holder to have a master’s degree in a field relevant to the assigned courses, experience in multimedia/digital production, and evidence of effective college-level teaching in the area of the assigned courses. The holder of this position will be provided with campus e-mail, internet access while on campus, and access to a printer. The holder of this position will be expected to perform these duties in a professional manner and to abide by the Collected Rules and Regulations of the University of Missouri System. The holder of this position reports directly to the department chair.
