Title: Adjunct Faculty - Legal Studies

Position Summary:

Teach Legal Studies courses in the Legal Studies for the Paralegal programs. Could possibly include Computers and the Law, Law Office Management, Legal Research, Legal Writing, Family Law, Administrative Law, Real Estate Law, Contract Law as well as Wills, Trusts and Probate Law. This position usually would staff evening classes that meet on-campus once a week for eight weeks and includes some online instructional presence.

Primary Duties Performed:

Teach Legal Studies courses in the Legal Studies for the Paralegal programs. Instructors will be responsible for the instruction for all assigned classes, evaluation and assignment of grades, maintenance of student attendance and records, and use of successful teaching methods. Instructors are required to meet all scheduled classes. Instructors should hold all classes with an appreciation and respect for diversity of people, styles, and views. This position usually would staff evening classes that meet on-campus once a week for eight weeks and includes some online instructional presence.

Required Qualifications:

Doctor of Jurisprudence and admission to the Missouri Bar

Preferred Qualifications:

College-level teaching experience

Salary Range:

Commensurate with experience and education
