Department History

Position Summary:

Part-time temporary faculty position to teach history courses on the Forest Park campus.

Primary Duties Performed:

•Part-time faculty duties and responsibilities normally include:
•Formal course contact teaching hours;
•Preparation and planning for instructing assigned classes in accordance with course objectives;
•Preparing and correcting examinations and other student work assignments;
•Scheduling student conferences to review individual student progress;
•Assistance in student academic advisement;
•Attending scheduled adjunct faculty meetings and training sessions;
•Successfully completing policy-related tutorials;
•Complying with all provisions of the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA).

Required Qualifications:

Master’s degree in the subject field or a master's degree with at least eighteen (18) approved graduate semester hours in the subject field and related fields.

Preferred Qualifications:

PhD preferred; college teaching experience; online teaching experience

Salary Range:

Commensurate with Experience
