The Department of Physiology and Pharmacology at West Virginia University invites applicants for a faculty position of Teaching Assistant/Associate/Professor, Scientist Educator Track, Physiology. This full time, non-tenure track position will have a major commitment to teaching human physiology to undergraduate students in the health sciences. Other teaching assignments may include graduate, dental and medical students. In addition, the candidate will contribute to course and programmatic administration, educational innovation, and scholarship in the department. Salary and rank will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Qualifications :

Minimum Qualifications: For all ranks, Ph.D. in physiology or equivalent degree in a related field; minimum of two (2) years of successful post-secondary teaching. Candidates should have demonstrated excellence in teaching students in a didactic classroom setting, the ability to coordinate activity of a faculty group, and the promise of growth as a health sciences educator.

Preferred Qualifications: Experience with a variety of teaching methods, the design and development of teaching materials (software, textbooks, online resources, etc.); experience developing and delivering online courses; a record of scholarly activity related to physiology or biomedical education.
