The University of Washington (UW) Department of Medicine, Division of General Internal Medicine (GIM) is seeking applicants for a full-time faculty position based out of Harborview Medical Center (HMC). This position will be at the Research Assistant Professor level (non-tenure eligible). Research Assistant Professors are eligible for multi-year appointments that align with a 12-month service period (July 1-June 30). Faculty with 12-month service periods are paid for 11 months of service over a 12-month period (July-June), meaning the equivalent of one month is available for paid time off. The anticipated start date would be July 1, 2022.
This position would have research responsibilities at Harborview Medical Center. This position would primarily involve work with faculty in the area of substance use/substance use disorder and overlapping co-morbidities (hepatitis, HIV and mental health disorders) and social factors (stigma, housing instability, incarceration). University of Washington faculty engage in teaching, research and service.
QualificationsRequirements include a Ph.D. degree (or foreign equivalent) in a relevant field. Eligible candidates must have a demonstrated track record of funding and evidence of scholarly productivity and publications.
