The Department of Statistics invites applications for instructors, lecturers, teaching track assistant/associate/full professors and clinical track assistant/associate/full professors. Some areas of emphasis include statistical methods for data science, statistical machine learning, computational statistics and informatics. A particular area of emphasis is candidates who can teach modern statistical computing, including its application to big data. Candidates in all statistical and computing specialties are invited to apply for these positions.

Applicants for Instructor must have a Master's degree and applicants for Lecturer and Teaching/Clinical Professor must have a PhD by the time of appointment. These degrees should be in statistics, biostatistics, computer science, data science, engineering or a related field and candidates should demonstrate experience and the ability to teach effectively at the undergraduate and graduate (master's) level. Applicants for teaching and clinical faculty positions must demonstrate a commitment to applied or pedagogical research, excellent teaching and professional development of students and professional experience commensurate with the rank being sought. Successful candidates for Teaching Track and Clinical Track Professor are expected to establish and maintain an active and independent research program and provide service to the department, the university and the profession. The anticipated starting date is August 16, 2022. Salary is competitive.
