. The University of Maryland, Department of Oral-Maxillofacial Surgery is seeking applications and nominations for the post of Chairman in Oral-Maxillofacial Surgery. The department is based at the University of Maryland School of Dentistry and the University of Maryland Medical Center/R.A. Cowley Shock Trauma Center. The Department encompasses OMFS, Acute Care, Dental Anesthesia, Maxillofacial Prosthodontics, and Adult Special Needs Dentistry. The Department also covers Mid Town hospital and Sinai hospital and has approximately twenty fulltime faculty. The Chairman will be the President of the University of Maryland Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons Associates (UMOMSA) the OMFS faculty practice. Graduate educational programs include both 4- and 6-year OMFS residencies and an Oncology Microvascular Fellowship.

Qualifications :

The successful candidate will be a Professor or Associate Professor with an international reputation as a surgeon, educator and researcher. Leadership experience and administrative skills are a requirement.

Salary and academic rank will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. The position will be available until filled.
