PRINCIPAL PURPOSE OF JOB:
Adjunct Instructor or Adjunct Professor (non-tenure track) in
History, with a minimum qualification of a Master’s Degree (18
credit hours in a History content area) in the field from an
accredited institution, and commitment to teaching in a Historical
Black College and University (HBCU) undergraduate liberal arts
college with specialization in African American History
SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITY:
Teaching History Program courses as defined by the Faculty
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Duties include but not limited to: teach 1-2 introductory
general education course in African American History, plus upper
level courses in History, in various formats including face to
face, hybrid and online modes.
OTHER DUTIES: Perform other duties as assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY:This position does not have
any supervisory responsibility.
