Job Summary/Basic Function
This is a graduate/doctoral-level adjunct position within the Helms School of Government online. Responsibilities include teaching one or more of the following graduate/doctoral-level courses on China:
Responsibilities also include but are not limited to providing detailed feedback on masters/doctoral student assignments, mentoring/challenging masters/doctoral students to grow intellectually and spiritually, maintaining contact with students to advise on matters related to academic achievement, and maintaining/reporting grades and attendance in accordance with university polices.
Minimum Qualifications
Education
Ph.D., Doctor (other than Juris Doctor), or similar terminal degree from an accrediting agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education in:

- Chinese Politics
- The Political Economy of China
- Chinese Foreign Policy
- Chinese and Western Strategic Thought
- Chinese Grand Strategy

- Demonstrated strengths in teaching
- Strong organizational skills that facilitate assignment/task anticipation and completion.
- Superior interpersonal and presentation skills required.
- Highly effective verbal and written communication skills
- Mastery of Microsoft Office suite and online learning management systems (Canvas)
