Provides support to the nine member Board of Regents of the University of Houston System in the exercise of their duties. Manages the Board of Regents (BoR) support office and reports directly to the Board of Regents Office Director.

  1. Manages BoR office schedule logistics to include working with various administration throughout campus to coordinate VP, Regent and Committee schedules.
  2. Responds to all requests from the offices of the Board Chairperson and the Chancellor.
  3. Serves as Board minutes manager to include but not limited to compiling Board minutes and dispersing to various committee members for review/clarification, publishing official board meetings with the Secretary of State consistent with the Open Meetings Act as well as managing Legacy process to compile and bind minute books.
  4. Manages the Board calendar, Board planner, and working with various administrative units for Board meeting preparation, travel arrangements and communications with Board members.
  5. Coordinates the logistics and agenda material for board meetings. Prepares the scripts for board meetings and board committee meetings and works with administration to set the agenda for the executive sessions of the board.
  6. Disperses notarized board approvals to appropriate contacts on campus for construction and other various projects.
  7. Manages reconciliation of budgets and financial accounts, reviews for any discrepancies, processes payments of invoices, travel expenses and all payments related to various meetings.
  8. Coordinates strategic planning retreats for members of the Board, executive administrators and guests.
  9. Assists Director with coordinating schedules with Executives, Board and Committee members.
  10. Manages event contracts and maintains budgets and financials. Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications :

Education: Requires a thorough understanding of both theoretical and practical aspects of an analytical, technical or professional discipline; or the basic knowledge of more than one professional discipline. Knowledge of the discipline is normally obtained through a formal, directly job-related 4 year degree from a college or university or an equivalent in-depth specialized training program that is directly related to the type of work being performed.

Experience: Requires a minimum of two (2) years of directly job-related experience.
Preferred: Three (3) years of direct experience.

Certification/Licensing: None.
