3130162 - Recreation Activity Center (RAC)

Job Summary
Coordinate and oversee all facets of daily operations related to equipment and facility maintenance and ensure completion of tasks and projects for various sites and units within CRI to include the Recreation Activity Center, MC Anderson Park, Shooting Sports Education Center, and the Golf Course Clubhouse; and coordinate the day-to-day building maintenance operations, including initiation of facilities service orders to ensure maintenance, grounds, and custodial services are performed.

Responsibilities
  • Perform related duties as assigned to support the mission of the University
  • Manage the departmental asset control/inventory records
  • Monthly/semester administrative reports as requested on work orders/equipment
  • Administer daily Metasys HVAC needs for the Recreation Activity Center
  • Review and enforce policies and procedures
  • Maintain and utilize risk management best practices
  • Assist with department and/or facility special events
  • Maintain industry standards
  • Serve on University and departmental work teams and committees
  • Recruit, hire, train, develop, and supervise 3-5 student workers including maintenance specialists
  • Perform general maintenance tasks at indoor/outdoor recreation facilities including: routine and preventative maintenance and repairs for designated building, facilities, and equipment ensuring technical operations are in proper running order; Inspection, maintenance and repairs of machines, mechanical equipment, and buildings, as well as plumbing, electrical, and air-conditioning and heating systems, general cleaning and upkeep.
  • Develop and administer policies and procedures for facility security and systems including electronic access control, key management, Fireworks Door Security
  • Serve as a project manager for any departmental maintenance or renovation projects
  • Manage semester and annual maintenance projects and life cycles of equipment
  • Supervise a maintenance worker
  • Coordinates all internal and external maintenance, repairs, and projects for all facilities
  • Coordinates daily, weekly, monthly, annual inspection audits of all facilities

Required Qualifications
Educational Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent

Required Experience
  • Three (3) or more years of related work experience

Preferred Qualifications
Preferred Educational Qualifications
  • One or more years of formal post-secondary technical education/training

Preferred Experience
  • Experience in aquatic pump room operations and/or HVAC
  • Experience with Metasys Software
  • Supervisory Experience

Additional Preferred Qualifications
  • Advanced training through continuing education or trade certifications
  • Knowledge of OSHA standards

Proposed Salary
$30,900 - $37,800

This position is non-exempt and paid on a biweekly basis
