Department of Psychology, Neuroscience Lecturer. Elon University seeks applicants for a Lecturer position with a focus on Neuroscience. The position will begin mid-August 2022. Applicants should have completed or expect to complete a Masters or Doctorate in Psychology, Neuroscience, or a related discipline by that time.

Lecturer track appointments are full time teaching faculty, with the typical teaching load being 7 courses each academic year (distributed across fall, winter, and spring terms). Lecturers are expected to be effective teachers and advisors, to be actively engaged in service to the department and institution, and to participate in professional activities that keep them abreast of their fields. Candidates must show evidence of high-quality teaching at the undergraduate level in their application materials.

Teaching will include a combination of foundational courses within the psychology major (e.g., Research Methods and Statistics, Cognitive Psychology, Behavioral Neuroscience, Introductory Psychology, etc.), with the possibility to develop special topics courses relating to one’s area of expertise, as well as courses in the Elon Core Curriculum. Candidates who have experience working with a diverse range of people, and who can contribute to the climate of inclusivity are encouraged to identify their experiences in their cover letter.
