Purpose of Position
The Admissions Coordinator of Customer Service and Events will oversee the planning and implementation of on campus recruitment and orientation events. This position will also oversee the customer service processes in the Office of Admissions.

They will counsel students and parents regarding postsecondary options and recruit them to NKU including conducting individual and group information sessions and provide tours of the campus.

The Coordinator will represent NKU at high school and college day/night programs; community colleges; manage recruitment and non-recurring campus visitation programs and coordinate customer service initiatives. Primary Responsibilities

  1. Manage the CRM for undergraduate communication plans regarding campus visits.
  2. Coordinate all campus visit programs including: Open Houses, Summer Recruitment Programs, Showcase Week, and Educator’s Day (includes all faculty and staff communication to support recruitment events).
  3. Coordinate Yield Programs (includes all faculty and staff communication to support yield events).
  4. Assist with Summer Orientation and VictorFest programs.
  5. Coordinate all customer service initiatives including the supervision of 1 Admission Specialists and a team of student workers.
  6. Serve as a co-advisor to the Presidential Ambassador organization to include the development and execution of campus tour training.
  7. Position is responsible for meeting application, admit and enrollment targets.
  8. Manage a defined recruitment territory (30-40 high schools, develop partnerships with 3-5 community college and 3-4 weeks of travel) to include group presentations and tours of campus.
  9. Counsel students and parents about postsecondary options and recruit them to NKU ; assist with customer service for prospective students and respond to the Office of Admissions email accounts
  10. Conduct individual and group information sessions and provide occasional tours of campus
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree and two years related experience with event planning or customer service required.
  • Excellent communication and management skills, administrative system implementation, event management experience, strong analytical and organizational skills.
  • Superior customer service experience.
  • Candidate will need to have experience and/or interest in the recruitment and training of volunteers.
  • Extremely detail orientated, diplomatic with an ability to exercise discretion and maintain privacy, critical thinking skills, ability to multi-task, meet deadlines, prepare and deliver professional presentations.
  • Must have ability to make accurate and deliberate decisions in an often high volume work environment.
  • Candidate must have valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
