Job Summary

The Coordinator of Student Media provides oversight, mentoring, coaching, and instruction to the Student Media student advertising manager and student sales representatives. Coordinates communication with advertisers and manages the sales and invoicing software platform. This position will oversee the advertising, marketing, and promotional efforts of all student media entities, including The Auburn Plainsman, Eagle Eye TV, WEGL 91.1 FM, The Glomerata, and The Auburn Circle.

Essential Functions

-Coordinates and advises efforts of advertising and marketing for The Auburn Plainsman, including overseeing the Plainsman’s student sales team consisting of one advertising manager and three sales representatives. Coordinates communication with clients, payments and invoicing, and guiding students to maintain industry standards for media sales.

-Coordinates and advises Eagle Eye TV, WEGL, The Glomerata, and The Auburn Circle students with client communication and invoicing for revenue-based projects and operations.

-Researches advertising rates of other local media outlets and college newspapers to ensure advertising rates are current and appropriately priced.

-Seeks out and oversees educational opportunities, including orientations, workshops, professional membership, etc, for student advertising representatives within Student Media.
