Post-doctoral Fellow/Senior Research Assistant/Research Assistant I/Research Assistant II in Silica Based Porous Nanomaterials in the Department of Physics (Ref.: 511671) (to commence as soon as possible, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance)
Applicants should possess a Ph.D. degree for Post-doctoral Fellow/Senior Research Assistant or a Bachelor's degree or above for Research Assistant I/II in Physics, Chemistry, Materials Science or other relevant disciplines, with experience in the synthesis of mesoporous silica or metal oxide materials. The appointee will conduct research on metal oxide nanoparticle synthesis and mesoporous silica synthesis, and the development and characterization of oxygen scavengers with added functionality (indicator functions, TMA detection) based on functionalized mesoporous silica nanospheres under the supervision of Professor Aleksandra Djurišić. A competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits. At current rates, salaries tax does not exceed 15% of gross income.
